Once you begin to think and act in a more orderly fashion, there are just two other elements that you need to work in concert to make your puzzle, your success story complete. And these are ‘decision making’ and ‘attitude’ – What I call the TDA Effect. TDA is the effect of Thought, Decision and Attitude, working in harmony with each other, and also with other universal principles.

The most interesting part is that the TDA Effect also works in harmony with your physical body, as well as your mind. So if you want to have a beautiful connection within your body and mind, the TDA Effect will help you.

I am going to share with you, how these three factors will not only affect your health, wealth, prosperity, and relationships, but a lot more than that. It will affect the things that you desire, and the things that you want in your life.

In reality, once you evaluate all these three concepts, which I call the ‘TDA Effect’ into your life, you will realize that the sky is the limit. Anything you desire, any level of success you want in any aspect of your life can be yours. Now, let me take you through all three factors of the TDA Effect.

It all starts with THOUGHT.

What are you thinking? What have you thought in the past? What have your thought patterns been? I can bet that you are not even aware of thought patterns because we assume that the thought process just comes naturally. That’s not true. Thought is something that you and I create. We have the power to direct the process of thought, as to what we want to think, how we want to think and what topic or subject we want to think about. It is totally in our control.

If you let your mind go to any thought that comes your way, you are not deciding your own destiny. Somebody or something else is ... either your paradigm, your upbringing, or what I call “monkey noises.” (You know, there’s always a monkey sitting on your shoulder and talking to you.) You have to become the master of your own thoughts because whatever you think is what is going to come to physical reality. There is no deviation from this principle.

Let me give you a simple example. Just think that your mind is a rose garden. Wouldn’t you like to see beautiful blossoming flowers there? What would you have to do to get roses in the rose garden? First you have to plant it – that’s called the seed. Thought is just like the seed. That’s the first step of this creative cycle.

Now if I want beautiful roses from my rose garden, I have to fertilize the ground. I have to nurture the soil. I have to provide the proper temperature, the proper amount of water. Then there is a very good possibility of getting beautiful roses.

You’re not going to put toxic waste or some sludge in it to get a beautiful rose. You’re going to put high nutrient fertilizer. A similar thing happens in your mind. We put lots of garbage in our minds all day. And if we put garbage in, we will get garbage out. The type of songs you listen to, the types of magazines and books you choose, the type of TV programs you watch – they are all consciously putting either toxic waste sludge or beautiful nutrients into your mind. You need to feed your mind with high quality nutrients. The nutrients come in the form of programs, which are designed for your growth, the type of information that will be beneficial to you instead of feeding it with lots of junk.

The beautiful part of this is that YOU have the power to make that decision. Just remember that ‘thought’ is the seed. You are going to reap the benefit of the type of seed you put in, so you make a choice of what thoughts you want to go into your mind.

I like the way author, Alfred Montapert, put it when he said, “Avoid destructive thinking. Improper negative thoughts sink people. A ship can sail around the world many times, but just let enough water get into the ship and it will sink.”

So it is with the human mind – let enough negative thoughts or improper thoughts get into the human mind and the person sinks, just like a ship. The choice is yours. I want my ship to sail to beautiful places and I want to enjoy all the scenery on the way. If I have put good thoughts into my mind, I know I’m going to enjoy the journey. There is nothing else to it.

So we start with the thought process, which is in your control. Thinking is not an easy process. We think that we think, but we really don’t think. Thinking requires a conscious effort. Thinking in the RIGHT direction requires lots of energy and it takes lots of work.

Bernard Shaw said that 95% of the people would rather die than think. Bernard Shaw said further, “I think only two, maybe three times a week, which has made me famous internationally and I have earned respect from all over. Can you imagine if I thought five, six, or seven days a week, what would have happened?” Can you see the power of thinking?

Once I was made aware of it I had a hard time believing that everything starts with 'thought'. And I will remind you again, I’m a scientist, I’m a researcher, so I have a hard time believing things that I don’t see. I have to experience it myself. So I said, “What do I have to lose?” I made an effort to sit down alone and I started thinking the things I wanted to think such as what I wanted to accomplish in my life. Once that process is started, transformation starts occurring. And I said, “Wow! What an eye opening experience, just by thinking.”

Our thoughts are the first cycle of creation. Nothing would happen unless we create positive, beautiful, prosperous thoughts. And these thoughts apply to your personal life, your professional life and your financial life – how you think about money and how you think about relationships.

I have about 18 to 20 young ladies working with me in the office and one of them had a breakup with her boyfriend. Her comment to me was, “All men are pigs.” I had to share with her how a thought works. I told her: “When you think this way, every time you go to a bar, every time you go to party, you’re going to see only pigs. So do you want a man in your life, do you want some beautiful human being to share life with? If so, you have to think that way.” The end of the story is that she has been very happily married for last seven years. So you can see with that example, that by controlling your thought processes, based on your purpose and the results you want to accomplish, you have that power. By installing positive and good thoughts, she brought someone into her life, which she never thought would happen.

The same thing happens when you think about money. You’ve got to place the seed before you can reap the crop. Until you plant the seed, you will not grow crop. The quality of the seed you put in – the passion and the purpose you put into that seed – that’s the result that is going to come.

Now, you might question me here – You have been putting these thoughts in your mind for a long time but nothing ever happens. Well, there is a reason for it that I am going to share with you this session. And by the way, when you do install a thought, remember to be patient, because every seed has an incubation period. We don’t know what the incubation period of thought is, but if you believe in it and you have patience, it is going to show up.

I’ll share my own story with you. Seven or eight years ago, I was not satisfied with where my practice was and I was looking for a solution. I was looking at how I could get to the next level. I knew education was not the problem and I am talking about a technical education (a college degree alone does not give you education of mind.) So the first thing I had to do was become aware of this thought process and begin to think about what I really wanted in my life. Where do I want my practice to be? What will be a way to recreate my practice?

I didn’t even know at that time HOW or WHAT, but that is not really important. Let’s start thinking the positive thoughts. And when the positive thought come, all the doors of the universe will start opening for you. Through each door, you are going to find a new step of success, a new step of prosperity, a new step of an amazing, wonderful life. So see, this is the power of the thought.

Seven years ago I would not have believed that my practice could be where it is today. The most interesting part of it is that now I have different thoughts about my practice and I’m thinking about taking it to the next level. I have to create that image in my mind of what I would like my practice to be. When I created that thought process, I had to ignore all the present facts, surroundings, environment, who I am, how I talk, what I know. I had to just focus on my thoughts. Every single thing that you see here today in physical form around you started with somebody’s thought. Somebody thought of cell phones before you had it. Somebody thought of TV before you got it.

Thought alone will not bring the results. If it were that easy, we could all sit down just think positive thoughts, and then have somebody deliver the things to us. It doesn’t work that way, so thought needs other factors, which are ‘decision-making,’ and ‘attitude.’ We’ll get to these two factors in a minute.

Let’s go back to Montapert’s words, “You will be setting sail on smoother waters instead of sinking your own ship to success with negative thoughts.” A person is really what he or she thinks. We are really a walking reflection of our thoughts. Our outside is a direct reflection of who you are and what you are thinking. When we walk around in our lives, we’re really announcing to the whole world how we think on a regular basis. So if you change your thoughts, your presentation, character and value will be incorporated according to your thoughts. This is a decision you must make for yourself.

Your outer image is a reflection of what is going on inside. It is not only about personal life and relationship and wealth. The medical community believes that your present health can also be improved with your thought process, because if you are thinking sickness, then you are attracting sickness. If you are thinking health, you are attracting health. So if your thoughts are in harmony with the universal principles, your body will be in harmony with those thoughts. And if my thought process is against the principles of universe, my own body will not be in harmony with my thoughts. And once my body is not in harmony, I will attract diseases and destruction. I will attract the results I don’t want.

So we must start by simply changing our thoughts to the results we would like to accomplish.

If sitting on a couch and thinking all day would bring all the results in your life, it would be very simple. Somehow we don’t have the power at this time to create physical results just based in thought. This is where the second factor of the TDA Effect comes into place and that is called 'decision-making’.

How are you DECIDING to live your life?

Decision to act on your thoughts with a confident and winning attitude will bring the results you seek. I can have all the beautiful thoughts I want, but I need to get up from the couch, make a decision about it and act on it. And that’s where lots of people have dreams and lots of people have thoughts and lots of people want something in life, but they never get it because they’re missing a powerful decision-making, action related, purposeful cycle from the TDA Effect. All three has to work in harmony. You have to make decisions.

Unfortunately, there is a big percentage of the population that is totally paralyzed with the inability to make decisions. This happens because these people have not fine-tuned their thoughts, which is based on purpose. So if I don’t have a stronger thought, how can I make a decision? I just can’t. The confusion, the conflict, the disagreement or inability to decide comes from a lack of proper thoughts. It comes from not having the thoughts you really believe in. So when I create those thoughts inside, decision-making will become a lot easier for me.

Unless you make a decision, the creative cycle is stopped at the first stage of thought.

Once you decide you’re going to make this change and have this in your life, then the second part of the decision-making cycle – which is called 'ACTION' – will come into play. Once you have a THOUGHT and you DECIDE on it and you ACT on it, nothing can stop you from accomplishing and achieving in life whatever you want.

Someone once said, “Good plans shape good decisions.” Once you have begun the thinking process, fall in love with your thoughts. Create real passion. Visualize your results and then make a decision to act. All the knowledge in this universe has no value to you until you make a decision and then further decide to act.

I want to share some simple facts about the decision-making process. People who make decisions fast and stick with those decisions are normally more successful. Fast decision-makers have improved and have strengthened their thinking process. So, make your decision fast in a precise way and act upon it to enjoy the beauty of the thought and the results, which will fulfill your life.

Take a page from Harry S. Truman’s own experience when he said, “All my life whenever it comes time to make a decision, I make it and forget about it.” He said, “I’m already on my way. There’s no sense in looking back now.” The key is as you improve and strengthen your thought process, you will also be able to make better decisions and make them more consistently, even more quickly as time goes by. Making a fast decision will not only improve your life, but will improve your lifestyle. This is what it is all about.

I’ve known too many people who are waiting for the train to come. The train came … and the train went … and they are still waiting on the platform because they failed to make a decision to get on the train. That’s how all the opportunities in life bypass you. The people who make decisions are the ones to get on the train and go to the next station of the journey of life.

Do you want to stay on the same platform where you are now? Or do you want to go to the next level? Do you want to get to the next stop in your life? Then let’s do it. We start with THINKING. We start making DECISIONS and then get off the couch and take some ACTION as a result of our DECISION.

Finally linked to the thought and decision is the A of the TDA Effect – ATTITUDE. What does attitude mean to you? Has anyone explained it to you? Better yet, what is your attitude? Do you have a good one or do you have a bad one? Have you ever tried to consciously change your attitude? Attitude is such an important part of your success.

It is like going to a pizza place and you order a pizza of your choice. The pizza arrives and the tomato sauce is missing or the cheese is missing. Or, it looks beautiful, but there’s no salt in it. Would you really enjoy that pizza? I don’t think so no matter how appealing it looks and no matter how hungry you are. Attitude is like the salt or the tomato sauce in that pizza. Another example of a bad attitude is like having a beautiful cake without the sugar. So, you have a beautiful thought, you made the decision, you're about to act on it, but you don't have a proper attitude for it ... what happens? The cake falls.

Now when I was growing up, I was not that well behaved. My teachers and my neighbor and my Mom and Dad always reminded me, “You know, Anil, your attitude stinks,” but I did not know what they meant. Nobody ever sat down and explained to me what attitude was. So if I don’t know what it is, how can I change it?

Now you have probably heard enough from different sources about positive attitude and negative attitude. But have you ever stopped to ask: What does that mean? What is a positive attitude? How do I get it? Where do I find it? Do I have to go to store to buy it? How do I create a positive attitude? Nobody tells you. They stop a little short.

So let me explain to you what ATTITUDE is. The ‘attitude’ is a combination of three things:

  1. How I think; (THOUGHT)
  2. Based on the thought process, I create certain feelings. (FEELING)
  3. And based on my feeling, I act in a certain way and that reflects my attitude. (ACTION)

To give an example, Aunt Anna is coming to visit you. Now, you create a thought in your mind about Aunt Anna based on your previous experience, which might not be very pleasant. Based on that thought, you are already creating certain feelings that could not be very pleasant because you’re not thinking very pleasant thoughts about her. So, when she arrives on the scene, what’s going to happen? Your action will reflect how you think or feel about Aunt Anna. And all of a sudden, your paradigm will become even stronger and you’ll say, “See, I told you so. That’s just how she is.”

But the reality is, you could have changed that. You could have created the thought, “She’s my aunt and I love her.” Even if you feel you lying to yourself, it’s OK! You’re doing this thought shift for a good reason. Based on that THOUGHT, you would have created the FEELING of love, respect and relationship. So, when Aunt Anna arrives on the scene, your ACTION will be reflected in your attitude and all of a sudden, you are going to have a better experience. See how we can create a positive attitude?

The same thing happens at work. You go to work and let’s say you work with four people. You have a preconceived notion about each one of them, about how they are going to behave and act. Because of that THOUGHT process, you will start creating that FEELING inside. And once you have that feeling, your ACTION is going to show up in your attitude. That’s how we get a good or bad, positive or negative attitude.

In my practice, here is an example of what I used to do before I was focused and before I was aware of how to create a positive attitude: Let’s say Mr. Smith is coming for an appointment at 3 o’clock. Mr. Smith happens to be one of those people that questions you – he doubts you and he goes through a whole rat race litany before you can even start working.

Before he even arrives, I am already thinking in my mind, “How is Mr. Smith going to act?” Based on that, I created an expectant feeling. So, when Mr. Smith arrives, well, you can fill in the story. It is not going to be a very happy ending. I had to force myself to think about Mr. Smith in a more positive light: “Hey, he’s my patient. He trusts me by coming here. It is my responsibility to give him full love and respect and the best treatment.”

Now the minute I had that THOUGHT, all the negative FEELINGS left and a wonderful attitude showed up and I was friendlier to him – my ACTION. Now I knew how to create a positive attitude. Once I had a good thought about Mr. Smith, it created those good feelings in me and those feelings brought on the best attitude possible. As a result of that, I created a total transformation. When I went back to my purpose, I controlled my thought and the rest followed. So that is how you can create a positive attitude.

If you want success in life, and if you really want to go places, work on attitude. Now you know how you can work at it. It’s a very simple formula, isn’t it? Just apply it. Just create the thoughts and get into that feeling.

You know, another amazing thing happens. The whole universe works on different frequency and that frequency dictates to the rest of the world, how you are thinking and where you are. Once I have a positive thought based on my feelings, those are the frequencies I radiate. And once those frequencies radiate, they are in harmony with the universal principle. Nothing else but good things will come to you.

I was puzzled for a long time on how to create a positive attitude. Whatever I read, whatever was explained to me sounded very complex, complicated and lengthy. But by now knowing the simple formula of creating a positive attitude, I’ve created many good results into my life. And not only that, but the people around me whom I thought didn’t have a good attitude ... I found it wasn’t them ... it was me. My attitude was reflected in my dealings. And if that’s what I will reflect, that’s exactly how I’m going to respond. That’s a principle of Cause and Effect. Whatever I put out, that’s what’s going to come in.

Can you see how this attitude can be used to your benefit to go to the next stage of life? So, when that train comes on the platform, have your thoughts in place, which are strong, solid and result oriented. Once those thoughts are there, create feelings around those thoughts with love, passion and a winning image. As a result of that, you will have an awesome attitude, as people always say, a ‘positive attitude.’

So this is the magic of the TDA Effect.

When you are standing on the platform of life, have those thoughts, which are productive, which are going to bring results in to your life. And once you have those THOUGHTS, make a decision to get on the train. Otherwise, you’ll still be standing where you are today. Two years from now, you will say, “I wish I would have done that. I wish I would have gone there. I wish I would have called him.” Don’t do that again. Make your DECISION and then take ACTION. Life will open a beautiful road for you. You are going to enjoy it everyday and you are going to have fun when you’re riding that train of life.

Now that we understand this TDA Effect, let’s apply it consciously into your daily activities. Make it a habit and enjoy the benefits. Make sure your thoughts are connected to your purpose, your vision and your goals because only then, can you have a worthy thought and you will be able to make a decision in harmony with your purpose and act properly with a positive attitude.

Attitude is the result of your feelings. These feelings will create vibrations of the same frequencies as your feelings. These vibrations will send your message to the universe. A good, positive message will bring only good results.

I have used the TDA Effect to start my journey and I have never looked back. Thoughts and knowledge are only the starting blocks. But a good, timely decision and proper, positive attitude put into action will bring the desired results. It has worked for me. It works all the time. I know it will do the same for you.
